Losar (Tibetan New Year)

The entire nunnery comes alive with vibrant celebration. Our nuns prepare traditional dishes, create intricate butter sculptures, perform sacred dances (cham), and engage in special prayers to bless the coming year.

Jang Gonchoe (Inter-Nunnery Debate)

Each year, nuns from seven major institutes across India and Nepal gather for an intensive month long debate session both rigorous training and joyful reunion.

Geshema Graduation Ceremony

Held in Bodh Gaya where Buddha attained enlightenment. Over 20 nuns from our lineage have received this highest academic degree in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy.
