Fly to Leh

Kushok Bakula Airport. Flights from Delhi (May-Sep)

Travel to Kargil

6-7 hours by road (217 km). Best Jun-Sep

Enter Zanskar

Kargil to Padum: 6-8 hours (240 km)

Reach Zangla

Padum to Zangla: 1-1.5 hours (35 km)

Important Notes

  • Altitude: 12,897 ft (3,930m) - Acclimatize first
  • Permits: Foreign visitors may need Inner Line Permits
  • Best time: June-September
  • Winter access: Chadar Trek only (7-10 days)
